SELF DISCOVERY FOR SOCIAL SURVIVAL: SPECIAL BURLEIGH CINEMA SCREENING
Gold Coast Film Festival Thursday 23rd April Burleigh Brewing
For a special Gold Coast Film Festival screening, Burleigh Cinema will showcase `Self Discovery for Social Survival’ a new surf film that pairs 16 surfers (including local legend Stephanie Gilmore) in the world’s most jaw-dropping surfing locations with eight experimental musicians who create an original, epic live score to the wave.
Filmed in Mexico, the Maldives and Iceland in three separate vignettes, the film embarks on a journey that combines a symbiotic relationship between the music and the waves, the environment and local culture.
