BURLEIGH SURF:CRAFT – POSTPONED
Unfortunately Burleigh Surf:Craft has been postponed (from 4th of April). For now a new date has not been set. Thank you for your support and patience with this event. The community response to this event has been amazing and we look forward to celebrating the hand made surfboard with you in the near future.
Burleigh Surf:Craft, a community celebration of the hand-made surfboard at the Burleigh Brewing Taphouse from 3:00pm – 8:30pm. All are welcome to this free event.
Burleigh Surf:Craft will be entertained by Jed Smith and Vaughan Blakey of AIN’T THAT SWELL, and will showcase some Australia’s finest surfboard craftsmanship, live music, Burleigh craft beer, give aways and more. We will bring the community together to talk story, show builds and really make some noise about the proud history of creativity and innovation that defines the Australian surfboard.
Shapers on the day will be in the running for the Burleigh Surf:Craft bursary awards with a combined prize pool of $5,000 for the:

JUDGES CHOICE AWARD
Winners will take home the renowned Burleigh Golden Growler Trophy filled with world class Burleigh beer!

Our judges this year are Burleigh Surf:Craft 2019 winners Dale Wilson and Yoshie Takeda. They will be joined by local legend Richard Harvey & Surf World Patron Peter Harris.
We had over 1,100 people at the event last year, so we’re expecting a ripper turn out this year with some next level talent showcasing on the day including:

Get ready for some great times, hand crafted surfboards, entertaining talks, surf movies, action packed Ain’t That Swell sessions, delicious Burleigh craft beer, tasty Burleigh Eat’s by Oak Cafe food and live music featuring local band Boing Boing!
