BURLEIGH CINEMA – UPDATED

Party like it’s 1999!
Burleigh Brewing has teamed up with Gold Coast Film Festival to bring many glorious months of 90’s films at the Burleigh Brewing Outdoor Cinema. Ever been at the movies and thought ‘you know what would make this better? A refreshing ale.’ No way — us too!

On the last Thursday of each month, put down your Game Boy, chuck on your best denim-on-denim, and get the gang together for films including the twisted, sexy thriller Cruel Intentions (bound to provide some heat this winter!) high school rom-com She’s All That, and for an epic long weekend in August, the big wave surf classic In God’s Hands. You’ll be peering over your shoulder all night with a Halloween screening of the ’96 supernatural witch horror The Craft. Meanwhile, The Dude made an appearance in cult fave The Big Lebowski in July, before we round out the year (and the end of humanity) by screening Armageddon and throwing an epic 2020 end of the world party.

Pick your fave film, mark your diaries and assemble your squad.

Each screening is paired with a short film from an emerging Gold Coast filmmaker, so you’ll get to see the latest filmmaking talent along with your nineties classics.

Pssst…Burleigh Cinema is an 18+ affair, so leave the littles at home, and date night like a couple of independently wealthy teenagers. Oh, and if it’s rainy or chilly, we can take the party indoors to our Burleigh Indoor Cinema in the Brewery.
